Hi, I am Andreas Lesslhumer and I’ve been part of the IT world for quite a while now. Long enough to have seen backup tapes, floppy disks, and more “next big things” than I can count.
My focus has always been on data protection, backup, and virtualization, but over the years I’ve learned that sharing knowledge is just as valuable as gathering it.
From Blogging to Beaming Light
I started blogging back in 2010, actually running two different blogs over the years.
In 2024, I decided to shut them down. Time became a rare resource between family, work, and other adventures, and honestly, I felt like traditional blogging wasn’t quite in sync with the pulse of our fast-moving tech world anymore.
But here’s the twist: even if blogs sometimes fade, information doesn’t stop flowing.
There are so many small but important updates, lessons learned, and hidden gems that deserve to be seen and that’s why the Lighthouse Program Newsletter was born.
The idea? Every two weeks, I send out a compact summary of my most relevant IT news, discoveries, and insights – only when there’s really something worth sharing. No spam, no fluff, just light to navigate the data seas.
If one of my posts or newsletters helps you solve a problem or sparks an idea, then the lighthouse did its job.
